PrintSf.com Delivers 1-to-1 Publishing to Salesforce.com
October 15, 2008
SAN DIEGO (October 15, 2008) – Print Sf (www.PrintSf.com) today announced its intent to deliver print, direct mail and variable data publishing to customers of Salesforce.com. Print Sf's executive team has a 10+ year history of delivering direct marketing services to enterprise and mid-market customers across thousands of direct mail and interactive, cross media campaigns. Salesforce.com is the leading provider of on-demand CRM solutions, with over 48,000 customers and 1 Million users.
Led by founder and CEO Mark Cira, PrintSf.com will help Salesforce customers leverage their adoption of Salesforce by making the personalization and fulfillment of closed loop, interactive direct mail campaigns and 1-to-1 print collateral seamless to their CRM workflow.
“PrintSf.com will deliver value at the intersection of two much publicized technology trends. The first trend is the advance of personalized, digital publishing – visible at sites like Shutterfly.com - and the second trend is the widening adoption of on demand, multi-tenant CRM,” said Mark Cira, PrintSf.com CEO. “We’ve seen the power of on-demand personalization at sites like Shutterfly.com, where users can design, publish and fulfill compelling photo-based products in minutes. Think of PrintSf.com as the Shutterfly for business collateral, but instead of digital pictures in photo books, we’re publishing the relevance of customers’ CRM data inside direct mail, marketing collateral, sales presentations, or any digital media,” added Cira.
Richard Clarke, Printsf.com Chief Technology Officer, says the company’s large investment in technology has produced a platform that’s easy to use, secure and highly scalable. “We’ve cut no corners, and built a platform we know can scale to serve many thousands of customers 24/7. We’ve also built on the good work of other technology leaders, including XMPIE, Adobe, and the Salesforce platform, so our solutions are easily leveraged by corporate marketing and IT departments, as well as creative agencies and independent graphic designers,” Clarke said.
Ed Kotnik, formerly of XMPie and Xerox, joined Print Sf in July as Director of Variable Data Publishing (“VDP”). “For several years I helped companies implement 1-to-1 publishing at XMPie, and there’s no doubt web-to-print and 1-to-1 cross media cut costs and increase ROI. The challenge, however, is access to live, clean data to feed the personalization process. The complexities of data access and normalization forced 1-to-1 marketing to be a high cost, labor intensive proposition, accessible only with larger marketing budgets. PrintSf.com changes that, by marrying our publishing engine to live CRM data, and making 1-to-1 easy and affordable for everyone,” said Kotnik.
According to Cira, Print Sf’s new platform and services are already in use by early adopter customers, and will be available publicly on the Salesforce AppExchange in January. Print Sf will also be exhibiting at the annual Dreamforce Conference in San Francisco on November 2.
